Remi Jean, f.k.a. CItyreal, is preparing to release his long awaited solo project, Lost in Vancouver. After creating a buzz in Vancouver, with both his award nominated solo mixtape, and hip hop / blues fusion side project Good Morning Blues alongside the late Blues musician Wes Mackey. His early momentum had him touring relentlessly across Canada, the United States, Europe. Remi then stepped away from music for several years and after a battle with depression and addiction, his long awaited Lost In Vancouver project is finally nearing completion. The project features Rich The Kid, TOBi, Jully Back, Kandle and many more. With large contributions from piano prodigy and string composer Todor Kobakov (Metric, Stars, k-os, Dan Mangan), Remi composed and arranged large orchestral string and brass parts that were later recorded by the Vancouver Film Orchestra at the Warehouse studios. The rich orchestral arrangements accompanied by Todor's finesse on the grand piano, combined with Remi Jean's soulful production style lead by his love of heavy bass and 808s, all gives rise to a beautiful cohesive sound. Raised in Vancouver, where he's known for his great live performances, Remi has supported a number of significant artists on concert tours including Ice Cube, Method Man, Ghostface Killah, Three 6 Mafia, Big KRIT, Tech N9ne, Jazz Cartier, K'naan, Dilated Peoples, Swollen Members and many more.
